No, the pup wasn’t a Christmas present, but the snow to play in sure was!! On Christmas Eve morning we got a warning for a ‘trace’ of snow, but by evening the ground was totally covered. We don’t really ever get ‘white’ Christmases to play in up here so it was extremely fun to go run around with all of the family, pups obviously include 🙂
But before we got to playing there was of course present time. Here’s a quick look at what I got for Christmas this year! You could totally use this as a guide if you’ve got gift cards to spend LOL.

Sheets for Christmas is definitely one of those ‘omg I’m an adult’ kind of gifts, but seriously I’m SO excited to try out velvet sheets! I’m always, always, ALWAYS, cold at night and I’m really hoping these make it easier to sleep. I’ll probably do a full review post about these in a couple of weeks so watch out for that!
Makeup & Brushes
This one is a tradition for me & my mom. We always pick out new brush sets and then give them to each other as presents. I’ve been using the big collection set for years now & it has absolutely everything I need. I love the smaller set though because it’s perfect for travel, the case even stands up on its own which is PERFECT for hotels. In my stocking I also got a new NARS pencil sharpener, small Smashbox palette, and a new replacement for one of my favorite brushes.
It says a lot about my style that I got both Adidas soccer pants & velvet over-the-knee boots as presents. Honestly I’m not even sure which will get more wear at this point! I’m sure both of these will be seen on the blog quite soon 🙂
This is one of our biggest Christmas traditions, and we take it seriously. My family LOVES watching movies. Our collection at this point is probably near the 1k point and we’ve all seen the majority of them. This pic shows this years haul but it certainly isn’t close to all of the ones we’ve gotten lately. My biggest tip is to stick any movie you’re interested in, in your Amazon cart, and then wait until you get a notification that the price has dropped. Except for some of the big ones we pre-order, most of these movies were purchased under the $10 mark.
I always get one bigger ‘surprise’ present and this year it was these wireless headphones!! I’m always listening to music so I try to always have a stock of headphones & earbuds but really good ones are expensive! Especially wireless!! But with how much they get used & starting half marathon training at the beginning of the new year, this is easily the most appreciated and probably most useful gift of them all! Plus you can’t go wrong with Rose Gold.
