Weatherproof Wedges

I love wedges.

I hate being cold.

So when these shoes popped up in my email one morning(thanks DSW!)  it was love at first sight. Cute but solid wedge, faux-shearling interior, it was basically a checklist for everything I can’t pass up.  There’s always a fear though of something that seems perfect online doesn’t work in real life….NOPE! Not the case with these beauties, it was actually the opposite. Until I tried them on I didn’t know that they also had a thick rubber sole. In Seattle you usually have to make the decision between stylish or functional in the rain. Finding something that’s cute and weatherproof is a magical, magical moment that I never take for granted!

Currently the backyard is a bit of a construction zone so my inner gymnast comes in handy.
This is the most accurate representation of what I usually look like…75% of my life is weird faces and a perfected side-eye

You can find the shoes online here in the color I’m wearing above and also in all black.

I’ve only had these shoes for a week and I can’t stop wearing them because they’re so easy to dress around. When I needed to run out for an errand and to take my dogs out I simply threw on jeans and a rain jacket for a super casual but still nice look. For a day a little colder and needing to be a little more dressed up I paired the booties with my favorite peacoat and a beanie for a pop of color. My coat is from last year but you can find similar ones here and here. Also the beanie I’m wearing is one I usually run and work out in because it has a fleece lining, you can find a similar one by Under Armour here in a bunch of different colors.

Most of the items I linked to are from places currently having sales(Black Friday I love you) so make sure to check out everything while the prices are low!

I hope everyone is excited for Thanksgiving and not too stressed about the holiday season being here! If you need an idea of a gift that works for anyone check out my post about the simple and delicious ‘Cake In A Cup

My family has a plethora of food allergies and intolerance’s so we don’t ever really do anything to celebrate Thanksgiving anymore. It takes away all the pre-planning and day-of stress which keeps all of us happier. Plus the Apple Cup football game is Friday afternoon which is the true EVENT of the weekend for us! Go Cougs!!
