I’m of the opinion that more shoes is better. Like, just in general you should have more shoes…😀
That philosophy fits well with my budget shopping habits. BUT there are a few shoes I will splurge on– a good pair of heels and boots are some of the very few items I think are worth spending on. The rest though, that’s what DSW is for.
There is a balance to getting cheap-ish shoes without sacrificing quality, and that’s why the majority of my shoe shopping is done at DSW. I’m always SO happy with the prices & quality that it doesn’t seem worth it to chance any where else.
This list is a mix of shoes I’ve gotten in previous years(and still wear!), shoes I just recently bought, and few other pairs I’ve got my eye on. All for under $50!!
p.s. links are in the name! && at the bottom of the post
1. CL by Laundry Jody Sandal
So my pair is from last year and has a bit of a smaller heel but I love the contrast between the INTENSE color and the very simple sandal design. They’re super eye-catching and I always get comments on them!
2. Nike Benassi Duo Ultra Slide Sandal
These are my FAVORITE comfy slides! I wear them constantly both around the house and when I need to run out. They’d also be really great for a pool or beach day. The kind where you actually go in the water😉
3. Unisa Pryce Sandal
Perforated everything was totally in last year and it looks like it’s back again this summer. One of the things I really like about this pair is that it has a buckle for the back strap, so many use Velcro and never last as long as I want them too.
4. Kelly & Katie Plushin Wedge Sandal
Wedges have grown out of being a trend and are working themselves into being a classic. I have multiple pairs from previous years but this pair in the ~Pantone Color Of The Year: Living Coral~ is a perfect summer 2019 shoe.
5. Crown Vintage Sarah Wedge Gladiator Sandal
I like gladiators in nude because I tend to find the colorful ones just have too much going on. Plus you can’t really ever go wrong with nude shoes!
6. Steve Madden Karolyn Sandal
So just a few weeks ago I bough these slides in snakeskin. Because I had a pair in grey that I wore for year and years until my mom started using them as slippers around the house. She also spilled oil on them which was the catalyst of finally getting a new pair😂 Basically we both love them! They’re super simple and super comfortable.
7. Circus by Sam Edelman Bonita Sandal
If you read my Five *Pretty In Pink* Shoes already then you’ve seen these before. It’s a fairly basic strappy sandal but I adore the color. It works really well for every day style!
8. Franco Sarto Savanne Flat
I’m not really a flat wearer but omg this shoe was like love at first sight. I love the wrap around strap!! It’s just so classic and cool at the same time. Flats never really stay on my feet when I walk but I may hve to make an exception for this cutie.
9. Journee Collection Viv Western Bootie
Booties aren’t really a summer-specific shoe but that’s because they’re just a year-round staple you really should have. And it’s a staple you can still get at a great price.
10. Dolce Vita Pais Wedge Sandal
This slide comes in multiple colors/designs and honestly I want every single one. I first bought the multicolor metallic (and wear them ALL the freaking time) but other colors are selling out quickly so none of us should wait if we want more….
11. Unisa Parli Sandal
I now own these shoes because my mom bought them to wear at a wedding, which is the only event she’ll ever wear heels too. It’s so awesome wearing the same size as her😂 I haven’t tried them out yet but she lasted the entire wedding, and seriously she NEVER wear heels, so that’s about as good as a reiew as you can get!
12. Kelly & Katie Paisly Sandal
This is totally a case of saving the best for last. I have owned these sandals for over five years, in multiple colors, and multiple generations. They’re basically the PERFECT casual summer sandal. My mom even owns her own pairs. One time my best friend came over and we were both wearing them. It’s popular, it’s comfortable, it’s $39.99.
