Sephora Spring Sale: My Beauty Picks

sephora spring sale
These Sephora sales are always one of my favorite sales of the year!! Except I swear it’s planned so that I don’t find out about it until right after I’ve placed a big order. Seriously this year it was exactly two days later I got the code🤦 But because the sales happen so rarely I always take advantage.

There’s two categories my purchases always fall into during these sales– stocking up on the staples I use regularly, and spoiling myself with a couple of items I’ve been really interested in(just not at full price!) Makeup is just one of the most fun things to play with and there’s ALWAYS so much to try and play with.

Now the important stuff: if you’re Rouge use the code VIPROUGE to get 20% off now through next Monday!! VIB members, you get 15% off with HEYVIB. && Insiders use HEYINSIDER for 10% off. Both VIB & Insiders will be from 5/2-5/6(tomorrow-Monday!)

Sephora Collection Skin Care

I’ve spent sooo long trying to find something that works for my skin and is actually affordable. Then Sephora came out with their own line and it’s PERFECT. I use the wipes daily because not only are they effective, but having multiple options depending on the state of your skin is so useful! My favorites are Rose and Coconut water for hydrating, Green Tea for breakouts, and Charcoal for exfoliating. If you have dry lips like me(thanks allergies!), I definitely recommend the Rose lip mask and the coconut water lip balm. There’s also masks for your face, feet, hands. Literally everything you could think of and in all different types so you can get exactly what your skin personally needs. The best part is all of these are under $10 so there’s no guilt in stocking up and trying out all the different kinds.

Foundation

I use two foundations, depending on my plans for the day. My most used is the Urban Decay All Nighter, which I’ve worn regularly for years. It’s a really full coverage which I tend to prefer. Despite that it doesn’t feel that heavy when it’s on, and it stays on forever. Especially when paired with everyone’s fav setting spray😀

Recently I was hoping to find a cheaper, lighter option that was a little more practical to wear everyday. Especially with the move and knowing I was going to be a lot more outdoorsy. I sort of stumbled into finding the new Hello Happy line by Benefit while getting my eyebrows done lol. It’s a light coverage foundation with SPF15 for under $30. My mom and I both ended up getting it because we liked it so much after just one small sample. Plus who doesn’t love having a cute little smiley face to help you get ready in the morning?!

Mascara

It might be a problem….but I love having multiple mascara’s to choose from. Sometimes you just need your lashes to do different things depending on the day!! The two most important though are length and volume and the best I’ve found are Benefit Roller Lash & Urban Decay Perversion.

Blush/Highlighter/Eye Shadow

Basically all your face powder needs. I swear by the cult classic ‘Orgasm’ by Nars for blush. (In fact I use that line on my lips too but that’s further down the post😜) It’s the perfect neutral pink color with just a hint of sparkle. You can’t go wrong. Stila has an incredible highlighter, I love the color ‘Kitten’ so much that it’s also my most used eye shadow. Which, this sale is a good time to stock up on a color or two that you use a lot. I have palette’s that are in rotation but I KNOW I’m going to want to wear ‘Kitten’ a couple times a week so I need it on its own. Both Stila & Urban Decay have solo colors that are great quality.

Brushes/Cleaner

As expensive as makeup can be, it feels like getting a good brush set can be even worse. I never ever buy a set if it’s not on sale!! It’s the one thing I’ll sit around and wait to get until I can get a discount. I love all the options Sephora has these days because it’s easy to find what works for you individually. In fact I’ve got two different sets, one that’s my ‘everyday’, and then another smaller set that’s just for travel.

Also, Sephora has the BEST brush cleaner. I can’t stand packing away my brushes when they’re dirty so I go through a lot of my cleaning spray. But the Sephora line is easy to use, works super well, and is only $15 for the biggest size. Seriously guys, this brush cleaner might be the most important recommendation in this whole post!!

If you have any questions about the sale, or any of the products I’ve talked about please let me know in the comments!

It’s the best! It’s not as fun as actual makeup, but it does it’s job!
