Navy Crochet One Piece Swimsuit

I’m home!! And I’ve got like 1,000+ pictures to go through for weeks worth of blog posts, but I decided to start simple and do a quick post on this swimsuit. I got soo many questions about it when I posted it on Insta so I wanted to get you all the details ASAP as summer is practically here. For my trip I knew that I was going to need a functional swimsuit and just happened to stumble onto this crochet one piece about a week before I left!

I love that crochet has become really big for swimsuits. Maybe it’s because there’s finally an alternative to the spandex-y look, although I didn’t really have a problem with that until there was a different, cute, option.  This swimsuit is ultimately really simple which is why the crochet is perfect to add a little bit of detail and style. My favorite part is the open crochet that shows a little skin to separate the top and bottom while still having the coverage of a one piece. It fit really comfortably and true to size. I wore a small and just needed to adjust the straps a little.

One of the things that drives me crazy whenever I need a new swimsuit is how expensive they are! I don’t know what it is about the fact that every time I find a cute one piece I like it always costs like 3 times as much as I would ever want to pay. That’s why I was in shock when I found this one at Target for under $50! Crazy, I know. I still can’t believe it lol

Since I was only using a pool at a family members house(isn’t that backyard gorgeous?!) I didn’t bother getting a cover up. However I did go and find a few that I really love like this Surf Gypsy Tunic or this Topshop Caftan. This BP. Floppy Straw Hat would also be the perfect pool or beach accessory!

I finally got a full, deep night of sleep last night but I’m still sitting here trying to motivate myself to work instead of going to take another nap. Vacation is exhausting! Especially when it’s not so much lying around, but instead visiting family and helping out with parties, graduations, etc. Somehow in the week I was in the Mid-West my body fully changed over to central time and now I’m trying to get back to my normal routine. Luckily the weather is finally really nice up in the PNW so I can go outside and play with my pups in the evening to keep myself awake
