The announcement of Pantone’s color of the year for 2018 has definitely led to some strong mixed reactions. I like to take it as any kind of ‘Purple’, meaning I’m going to be all about the lighter shades like this lilac sweater.
Kind of like blush/millennial pink, the muted but bright versions of colors are really fun & easy to style with. I’m not ready to give up my pink but I am totally on board with adding a lot more purple for the new year.
I really love this specific lilac sweater from Old Navy because it has a good mid-weight for a knit, so it will last and transition from Winter to Spring. It’s warm enough to be fine on its own as long as temps don’t get crazy extreme, but it also has a thin enough knit that it’s really easy to layer over. Like the day I wore this outfit and it started pouring (honestly it’s Seattle in December what did I expect) but all I needed to do was toss on a rain jacket and I was good to go.

Over the weekend I went to see Star Wars, like everyone else lol, and I loved it!! I know there’s been a lot of debate and it’s been pretty decisive but I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to watch it again. It has been funny seeing the different ways people are reacting. I have some friends pretending it never happened and others already on their 3rd & 4th viewing.
Honestly though I still can’t stop laughing at Kylo Ren’s little Risky Business slide. I was cracking up in theater and still think about it multiple times a day.
What did you all think?! Yay or nay? Let me know in the comments!
