Today on Work It Out Wednesday we’re talking about the single most important part of running-MUSIC.
Okay, so maybe that’s not like the number 1 thing to focus on, but it is a vital part of my training. Or working out. Or really doing anything in life.
Just ask my mom who has dealt with an entire lifetime of me rummaging around the house to find my iPod before doing any kind of chore.
It’s a thing.
However, I do take on my running playlist with a different mindset than a lot of people. I think this is cool though! Some people need songs that help them keep at a certain tempo. Other’s need strictly motivational lyrics. I need fun, pop-y, and to feel like having a dance party to take my mind off the fact that I’m on mile 8 of a run I purposely chose to do. Ugh.
Just because I don’t need super upbeat though doesn’t mean you’re gonna find Say Something in the middle of this hour of music. It may be one of my all time favorite songs but I’d like to cry at mile 12 for a different reason. Like the fact that my legs no longer want to be a part of the rest of my body.
This running playlist is a good mix of artists and what I’ve truly been listening to lately.
