I’m big on having juice either with my coffee or with my lunch to get some nutrition into my morning, especially since I don’t really like eating anything for breakfast. This Orange Pineapple Melon juice was a delicious concoction made from fruit I had sitting around!
Getting enough fruit in my diet has never been a problem, in fact I probably eat too much!! It’s like my go-to snack to just eat whatever fruit I can find in the fridge at the time. But on the other side of that, I never really liked juice when I was growing up. It wasn’t until I got older that I realized it was because of all the added sugar and other things that were taking away to pure fruit taste that I love. As much as I enjoy sweets, juice isn’t where I want to taste it. That’s when a juicer became one of my FAVORITE kitchen appliances. Now I can make my own with nothing in it except pure fresh fruit juice.

Peel and cut the skin off of all the fruit. Generally if something is thin-skinned it can just go straight in but with this mix all them need to be sliced first. Then add them into the juicer with the softest ingredients first and then work your way to the firmer fruit.
In this case start with oranges, then add pineapple, and finish with the melon.
The juicer does all the hard work for you! Once you’ve fed all the ingredients in your juice is ready to go. I personally like to stick it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to get it nice and cold before I drink it.
I use this Breville Juicer and it’s lasted for quite a few years now. Plus most of it can go in the dishwasher which makes clean up SO MUCH easier. I also love having my cold tumblers with a lid. They can safely come with me whether I’m going out to run errands or up to my office to work. I currently use this basic one but I just found this mason jar set which is super adorable and will probably be ordering it soon because my family has no impulse control when it comes to Amazon lol.
One of my biggest tips when it comes to juicing is that Costco needs to be your best friend(if it isn’t already!). Some fruits can take a lot of product to produce only a little juice and it gets super frustrating. With Costco you can buy multiple things in bulk at a much better price so you won’t have to break the bank at the store every other day. Plus, you can still juice the fruit when it starts getting mushy so you don’t have to worry about buying too much and then having to throw some out.
I’m going to do multiple juice recipes over the summer because I’m always experimenting to find weird and delicious combinations! Adding a handful of mixed greens to get those veggies in is a big plus. If you have any questions or suggestions please leave them in the comments!!
