It’s Foodie Friday time! This week I’m sharing a recipe that is SO quick and simple, it seriously takes less than 10 minutes….and then only another 10 to eat them all!(I’m eating some right now while I type and had to hide the rest lol) We call these guys Rudolph’s because of the red m&m noses but they can easily be made year round with any colors.
- Hershey Kisses
- M&M’s (any colors or flavors work)
- Preheat oven to 200°
- Place pretzels on baking sheet
- Unwrap kisses and place one on each pretzel
- Bake for 3 minutes
- Remove from oven and immediately press one M&M into top of kiss
- Eat them all!
Once they’ve cooled you can store them in a plastic container or bag.
One of the best things about this recipe is that all ages can help out with it. Some of my best holiday memories are the huge baking days all of my extended family would do together and this was where all the little ones would get to join in. The baking sheet only gets warm in the oven so while you should always check it first, usually anyone can help with the M&M squishing, and it’s always they part that gets the most laughs. It’s harder than it looks and sometimes Rudolph doesn’t always look his best but that’s what makes baking at home personal! And no matter how wonky it may look it still tastes delicious!
I had a shadow while I was baking yesterday because my pups know that they get the broken pretzels that can’t be used.
And then after we tried to take a picture for the Christmas card–but trying to get two dogs and me to sit still and look in the same direction at the same time is asking way too much. Once a Santa hat became involved we all just gave up. Sorry mom!!
It’s supposed to rain all weekend with a chance of snow so I’m planning on spending it hunkered down inside with a blanket and a constant stream of coffee and hot chocolate. I’m in the middle of reading Inferno so it will be a good time to finish it. I always have to read the book before seeing the movie but usually I’m not this far behind on a series!
