We’re on to another week of Work It Out Wednesday, which if you missed last week’s post, I introduced as a new feature here on Carefree & Coffee. I’m getting ready to train for my next half marathon so this will be my way to share my tips from previous experience as well as my journey for a new race. You can get my whole running story here!
This week we’re talking about finding the right running jacket. No matter when you decide to race, chances are you’ll spend some time training in the cold. And yes, there are plenty of ‘wrong’ jackets that will make it a little harder and possibly more annoying.
For me comfort and warmth are my biggest factors. But puffers can be far too obstructive, rain jackets too ‘swishy’, and pullovers not thick enough. There are still plenty of options though! I didn’t just cross off every option on the list lol.
I recently found this fleece jacket and it’s a great mix of everything I’m looking for. The fleece is the perfect weight for allowing full motion while still keeping heat trapped in. And you know any jacket that has long enough sleeves for thumb holes automatically gets bonus points from me!
